Course Aim
This module equips delegates with discreet street-level tradecraft skills to enable the covert exchange of sensitive intelligence or equipment in low-visibility operational environments.
Course Aim
The aim of this training package is to teach delegates how to conduct street level tactics discreetly in order to facilitate the covert exchange of sensitive intelligence across a range of different operational backdrops. On completion of this training, participants will be able to conduct discreet street level tradecraft on low visibility operations in order to share sensitive intelligence or equipment covertly.
Training Overview
Participants attending the tradecraft training programme will learn how a range of street level tactics designed to enable intelligence operators to discreetly hand over and share information covertly during clandestine and low visibility operations.
Tradecraft (sometimes also referred to as Streetcraft) allows intelligence operators to manage their digital signature by enabling covert communications between agents and team members without relying heavily on electronic means.
Participants attending this training package will learn how to conduct effective discreet surveillance detection in order to ensure they are not under hostile surveillance prior to occupying or emptying a dead letter box, conducting a brush or lightning contact or leaving a signal site.
- Participants completing this training will be able to::
- Conduct effective discreet surveillance detection
- Identify suitable areas for dead letter boxes
- Set and remove signal sites
- Occupy a dead letter box using the correct tradecraft procedures
- Retrieve intelligence from a dead letter box using the correct tradecraft procedures
- Conduct a discreet recce to identify locations for a brush contact
- Conduct a brush contact using the correct tradecraft procedures
- Conduct a lightning contact
